*** Cray XT5 workshop ***
May 10-12, 2010, the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) and the National Institute for Computational Sciences (NICS) will host a workshop aimed at educating returning, new, and potential users on the recently upgraded Cray XT5 systems known as Jaguar and Kraken.
The workshop will focus on familiarizing new, returning, and potential users with both the Jaguar and Kraken upgraded systems. The workshop will feature lectures from NCCS, NICS and Cray staff covering key topics like XT5 architecture, using debuggers on the XT5, and developing applications capable of scaling to 100,000 or more cores. Hands-on sessions throughout the workshop will allow participants to access Jaguar and/or Kraken using their own codes and work one-on-one with NCCS, NICS, and Cray staff members to tune codes.
